![]() I really don't care if dj plays on vinyl, "industry's standart" gear or on Laptop. ![]() As a "wannabe audio purist" when in club or event, I always appreciate good sound quality and selection of music. ![]() Also you hear some "pro" dj's turns away from using laptop when djing which somehow fuels marketing for standalone dj gear. There are so much focus on buttons, lights, bells and whistles and to less on sound quality in general. On another hand, today's average laptop processors can handle losless music files with ease and memory space is not a problem so doing a bit of a tweaking it's possible to achieve pretty good sound from controllers as well. I understand those dj's who sets audio quality as one of their main goal so one must pay price for decent gear. In some cases they play poor quality mp3's. ![]() Some hobby "dj's" think, if they own and play music on top pro equipment, makes them "better". ![]()
